Stash is a personal bookmarking app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it. The short version: your stash is yours.
Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and basic profile information from that provider. We never see or store your password.
Guest use. You can use Stash without signing in. We then create an anonymous account with a random ID, with no name or email attached. If you later sign in with Google to back up your stash, the sign-in is added to that same account, and from then on we hold the account information described above.
Your content. The links you save, the collections you create, the notes you write, and any images you upload. This is the product — it exists so the app can show it back to you.
Diagnostics. Anonymous crash reports and error logs (via Sentry) so we can fix bugs. These do not include the content of your stash.
If you join the waitlist on this site, we store your email address for one purpose: telling you when Stash launches. It isn't shared, sold, or added to any newsletter. Want it removed before launch? Email us and it's gone.
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not share your saved content with third parties for marketing. Your bookmarks are private to your account — no other user can see them.
Your account and content are stored with Supabase (our database and storage provider). Uploaded images live in a private storage bucket accessible only to your account. This website and our API run on Vercel.
When you save a link, our server fetches that page's public title, description, and thumbnail so your bookmark has a preview. Opening a saved link loads that website, which is governed by its own privacy policy.
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, all bookmarks, collections, notes, and uploaded images. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. You can also request deletion from the web if you can't access the app.
If you use Stash as a guest, your stash is tied to this one device. Signing out as a guest deletes the guest account and everything in it, the same way Delete account does. If you uninstall the app without signing in first, nobody can get back into that account, and because it has no name or email attached, we can't match it to you. We may delete guest accounts that haven't been used for a long time.
You can export everything you've saved at any time (Settings → Export bookmarks), and you can delete everything at any time. For any privacy question or request, contact us at the address below.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
